The Hubs and I were really excited this past Sunday night, because we were getting to take part in a photo tour of the infamous haunted house, the McPike Mansion, an event put together by the Alton Area Photography Group!
I’m splitting up the pictures I took at the McPike Mansion into multiple posts, because I have quite a few of them. So, today, I’m sharing the shots I got while it was still light and we were outside. (I’ll share some indoor shots I got tomorrow.)
There were already a few people there when we arrived on Sunday evening. The house is impressive.
We took a walk around the house, through the paths worn through the tall grass. I took lots of pictures of the windows, hoping to make a nice picture, for one, and maybe to catch a ghost, for two. LOL These are the twin windows that most frequently have a ghost looking out of them.
We walked on further and I took more pictures.
Then we headed around the back, where rumor had it that there were tombstones from the graves of young children.
And, of course, we found “the graves.”
Come back tomorrow for the rest of the McPike Mansion picures!
(I would love for you to come back to visit, so please SUBSCRIBE using one of the buttons I have up there at the top on the left. And be sure to find me on Facebook for behind the scenes stuff and general goofiness. I’m on Twitter, too, but be warned – I have been known to accidentally tweet-bomb during baseball season!)

LOVE these. I feel almost like I'm visiting with you! Can't wait for the next set!! That exterior shot would make a great show photo! 🙂
Thank you!! It was SO much fun! I hope you enjoyed the two follow-up posts!
