Two of the Old Mine

A couple of alternate shots I took of the mine complex, with different finishes. You’re really kind of away from everything else, as the mine was on the outskirts of the small town, and there were next to no visitors the day we were there. It was kind of like the set of Mad Max or maybe the beginning of a horror movie set in a dystopian future. Heh.

The second shot, showing the disorienting covered conveyor ramp. Honestly, that ramp really throws you off.

Missouri Mines, St. Louis, MO, Mine, Mining,

I just wish we’d have had better access. I would have loved to get inside those buildings. They were not empty!

(I would love for you to come back to visit, so please SUBSCRIBE using one of the buttons I have up there at the top on the left. And be sure to find me on Facebook for behind the scenes stuff and general goofiness. I’m on Twitter, too, but be warned – I have been known to accidentally tweet-bomb during baseball season!)
