Heh. Now, don’t panic. There aren’t any pictures of mob snitches floating under water here. But, I couldn’t resist the 1930s film noir reference on this picture that I kind of just took on a whim and ended up really liking!
This is one of those exhibits at the St. Louis Zoo where you walk under the water, which is so cool! (And, on a hot day, it’s literally cool, too.) The sharks and fish and turtles all swim above and around you. It actually kind of breathtaking. They have a new polar bear exhibit, built in the same way, that I’m looking forward to seeing soon.
We are so lucky in St. Louis – we have a world-class zoo, deeply committed to conservation work, with brilliant exhibits, constant improvements, and it is all free. In fact, our zoo is so awesome that it is ranked as the 3rd best zoo in the entire United States and the 4th best zoo in the world! If you make the trip to The ‘Lou, do not miss The Zoo!
Now that I think on it, I feel a “safari” shoot coming on before the weather turns…
