Old Building Lamp

While the scale of the buildings at sites like the Missouri Mines historical site are always awe-inspiring, one of my favorite things is to find the little details that we just don’t have in modern buildings today. Like this nifty exterior lamp on the side of one of the mining buildings.
Missouri Mines, Mining, St. Louis, MO, iron, lamp, lead mine, ornate
I love the swirly details on even the most simple things, like lamps like this. We just don’t have those kinds of design details anymore.
