Hello!! I’m back after taking July off and, man, I needed it! After a busy spring of RenFaire and trips and rescue transports, I decided to take off the month of July, to try to get at least one month of real summer vacation in! So, no fancy pictures today, just snaps of some of what we did!
One of the bigger things that happened this July was that The Hubs and I celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary! I have to say, I do not feel old enough to have been married for 25 years, but the calendar says differently. LOL We’ll do something bigger and more grand later this year, but I was perfectly content having a lovely dinner with this guy:
The Girl Child had her events this past month, as well. She was in her first community theatre production, “The Skin of Our Teeth,” put on by the Clayton Community Theatre.
And she got her first job, working at Chuck E. Cheese, where her brother is a manager. And she’s already had her first turn in “the suit.” LOL
We finally had time to resume our rescue transports, loading up the SUV at 4:30am with crates to transport twelve dogs on a 300 mile round trip leg of a transport chain to a no-kill shelter in Kansas.
The Hubs got his new Trek bicycle and registered to participate in a 100 mile ride to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. He’s been riding faithfully every day, anywhere from 15-25 miles at a time.
So, while it wasn’t necessarily the most exciting month of July, it was a much welcome break to spend time with the family, get some things done, and indulge in some much needed free time. But, I’m back and I’m going to be getting back into the swing of my daily photography! Glad you stuck around and I’m glad to be back!

And be sure to find me on Facebook for behind the scenes stuff and general goofiness. I’m on Twitter, too, but be warned – I have been known to accidentally tweet-bomb during baseball season!)
