Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms – married moms, single moms, adoptive moms, birth moms, grandmoms, grieving moms, moms-in-law, stepmoms, foster moms, gay moms, struggling-to-be-moms, moms who started out as as an aunt/sister/cousin/friend but took on the job, dads who are pulling double duty, and Fur-kid moms.
‘Mom’ isn’t a legal designation. ‘Mom’ isn’t an accident of genetics. ‘Mom’ isn’t dependent on being church-approved. Being a Mom is a Heart Condition. It’s having your heart infected with the love of a child. There is no known cure.
