Old Cemetery Cross

During a recent day trip down to historic St. Genevieve, The Hubs and I came across a beautiful old cemetery with graves dating back to the Civil War. This monument was a centerpiece.

This cross is an unusual mixture of materials. (After the jump, check out the detail pic!)

This shot just begged for a dramatic effect in post-processing. I couldn’t resist.

I’m not sure what the cross and figure themselves are made of, but they certainly have weathered the decades differently.
