Bowling Birthday Party Photoshoot

A couple weeks ago, we had our first paying gig of 2015 – and a returning customer, at that! Not a bad way to kick off the year! I am going to take that as a harbinger of good things!

One of our favorite clients, this family is always fun, gracious, up for anything, and incredibly nice! They wanted us to shoot their little boy’s 5th Birthday Party and I think they wanted to capture who their little guy is right now at this point in his life – his exuberance, his current favorite superheroes, and, of course, his BFF for sure!

We wanted to be sure to get this little guy’s personality! He’s so funny!

And can’t forget Dad and the Birthday Boy’s adorable little brother!

But the friendship between the two best friends was the cutest thing – even though they had no interest in posing! LOL

I’ll be honest – doing a photoshoot for five-year-old boy’s birthday party at a crowded bowling alley, with its absolutely horrible lighting and while four other birthday parties are going on, is probably one of the biggest challenges a photographer-for-hire can face. We made sure our client understood up front the possible problems that could arise, but she trusted us. We took a ton of shots, did a lot of “fixing in the mix,” and we did our best to capture the best memories of the day for them!

And be sure to find me on Facebook for behind the scenes stuff and general goofiness. I’m on Twitter, too, but be warned – I have been known to accidentally tweet-bomb during baseball season!)
