Trail’s End

At the end of a lovely walking trail is this old bridge. Maintenance by the parks service ends several yards ahead and you can see that this hidden spot is a favorite of kids up to the usual kid things.

I actually think I like this shot better than one I posted before. It has a sort of post-apocalyptic Gothic feel, I think.

The details on the bridge – the exposed brick, the fading black stripes, the haphazard graffiti – show in this version, but what I really like is the blown-out exit from under the bridge. Truly, the light at the end of the tunnel…
