First Snow–The Tree

Another from the First Snow series I shot a month or so ago. This was literally the last shot of the night. Almost all the light was completely gone. I had to stand in the middle of the street (and keep my fingers crossed that I could get the shot before I got hit by a car). This gorgeous tree is so huge, I had to keep moving further and further back to get the whole thing in the frame.

My mother-in-law liked this picture so much, I had it printed and framed for her birthday. I used a distressed silver-painted wood frame, which set of the blue tones beautifully. After an expensive Christmas, a request like that for her New Year’s Eve birthday was a welcome relief to my budget, too! LOL

And be sure to find me on Facebook for behind the scenes stuff and general goofiness. I’m on Twitter, too, but be warned – I have been known to accidentally tweet-bomb during baseball seasonl!)
