Hi, y’all!! I’m so glad to see you! How was your weekend? Did you enjoy your “extra” hour of sleep (for those of you in the states)? I have to admit to another dorkism – I reminded myself several times on Saturday that I needed to set the clocks back. I normally get up on Sunday, grab a cup of coffee, and set the clocks. However, this time, even after reminding myself several times, I woke up Sunday and immediately thought my cellphone was screwed up. So I rebooted it three times before I remembered that I had to reset all the clocks in my house. Duh. LOL
We had a fun Saturday, but I was tired and cranky after having to drop The Girl Child off at school at 6:30am to catch a bus to a state Student Council convention. I was in desperate need of new socks, I couldn’t get back to sleep, so off to the shops I went. I did manage undergarments, (you’re welcome, World), but the rest of my day was spent like this. Dammit, jammie pants are comfortable!
(The Hubster threatened to turn me in to The People of Walmart website. I didn’t even realize the man knew how to work his phone camera that quickly. But, I will have my revenge…mwuhahahaha!)
Later on, we had big old sing-along, because we are just goofy and dorky like that. LOL
Not a single thing wrong with it! The Hubster, being the awesome hubster he is, remembered that I had long wanted to be able to watch my baseball on the back deck, so he grabbed a length of cable and an old TV we had in storage and presented me with this:
How awesome is that?! Storage for my gardening and BBQ supplies, plus a place to kick back and enjoy the game and a nice fire! I’m praying for good weather for Thanksgiving, so our guests can enjoy the deck and watch some football at the same time! And another project OFF the “someday” list! Major deck upgrade all for the cost of a length of cable and a $25 secondhand Rubbermaid storage cabinet!
But, the Find of Finds this weekend wasn’t at a Goodwill or any thrift store! It was from my nephew, cleaning out a storage locker! And his mother (bless her!) knew to call her popcorn-and-a-movie addicted sister-in-law (ME!) when she decided she had no place for it!
What’s really freaky is that we saw an identical popcorn maker at one of the Goodwills for about $100! I have a hard time dropping that kind of cash on a secondhand, whim-type purchase. So, when my sister-in-law called, I was, like, OMG YES!!! It’s in need of some serious cleaning, but it’s going to be so awesome in our movie-themed family room! (What you see behind the machine is the game room TV. Behind where I’m standing, is the family room, with the HDTV, surround sound, seating, framed movie posters and memorabilia. This baby has found the perfect home!)
So, while I don’t have a ton to report on this week, I’m pretty dang excited about what I did come home with! I just canNOT believe my luck! I never have that kind of luck!!
Now, to find some heavy-duty degreasing techniques! LOL

I enjoyed reading this post and I am following you now. I would love for you to follow back.
